synopsis
Prince - The Glory Years is a documentary film which reviews and re-captures this golden decade and with the aid of his friends, colleagues, fellow musicians and other notable contributors, helps discover why Prince Rodgers Nelson simply stole the '80s as far as music was concerned. Features include rare and classic Prince performances re-assessed by a team of esteemed experts, live and studio footage, brand new interviews with Prince's closest confidantes, and rare and seldom seen photographs. Prince is the most original and innovative music artist to have emerged over the past 25 years and he continues to release startling new material and sell-out electric live shows at an alarming rate. But it cannot be denied that it was during the 1980s that this maverick performer's star shone brightest.
