From Marc Scarpa: Back in 1996 I had the honor to interview David Bowie just after his 50th birthday party @ MSG for c|net when I was working as the NY Bureau chief. We talked for about two hours about a variety of subjects including artists he liked and technology he was using at the time. In short, it was a day I will not forget. Thank you David for being such a great influence and a generous soul.

While this DVD may look rough and raw to 21st Century eyes, it is also the best representation of Iggy live during an otherwise pitifully undocumented era of his career. Fronting a crack band featuring Blondie drummer Clem Burke and future David Bowie guitarist Carlos Alomar, Pop is as unpredictable and dominant as ever (no small feat since he is sporting a mini skirt, garters and stockings for most of the show). Filmed on November ...Read More

This film may be one of the only ways we can see the real Kaufman, at least the way he appeared after after a particularly awful performance at a popular Catskills resort in late 1979. Created by Andy's Kaufman’s friend, comedy club owner and hopeful filmmaker Seth Shultz, this title is a Night Flight streaming exclusive and is not to be missed!
The Residents had recorded their album, The Commercial Album, in 1980. It contained 40 one-minute tunes. The DVD version of this required enlisting many talented film-makers from around the world, each contributing one or more one-minute videos to accompany the songs. Though the videos can be viewed in a linear fashion, more intriguing is wandering through a maze choosing ones you wish to watch.

When Charlie told me he was 70 now, and he'd had 50 years on the road already, I thought this sounds like a good story. I think the story really begins in 1983, which is with Charlie at the helm, stripped of the rest of the band. The amazing story of the long running punk band the UK Subs and their leader, Charlie Harper.
